Beta Arbutin is a glycosylated hydroquinone, early extracted from bearberry plant. Now manufactured by organic synthesis. It inhibits the formation of melanin pigment by inhibiting Tyrosinase activity. It protect the skin against damage caused by free radicals, It is a skin whitening agent which is very popular in Asian countries for skin de-pigmentation.
